Position Summary
The primary focus of this position is to review discrepancies between our purchase orders to manufacturers and the invoices we then receive from them. While most of them match, some do not. This role will identify the reason and using developed workflows, resolve and track them. This individual will work with internal and external contacts to obtain the necessary information to achieve resolution. This is an exciting and new position.

Duties

  • Identify the reason for the invoice discrepancies and work with internal departments to resolve them
  • Track the discrepancies over time, identify root causes, and measure progress with the goal of reducing those that can be mitigated
  • Seek and suggest continuous process improvements to improve resolution throughput and efficiencies
  • Work professionally and collaboratively with teammates and other stakeholders
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite including proficiency in Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential
  • A passion for problem-solving is required
  • Proficient in understanding various complex concepts, dynamics, and issues to reach resolution efficiently and effectively
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Ability to manage and effectively prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Responds to all inquiries and opportunities in a professional and timely manner
  • Portrays a personal and professional image that is consistent with the company’s goals of fairness and honesty to suppliers
  • A strong knowledge of mathematical principles is required

Education and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of two years’ experience in Accounting (Payables/Receivables), Finance, or data entry. Post high-school education/degree preferred

Work Environment

Work is performed in an office environment following CDC guidelines. Requires the ability to sit for extended periods; frequently stand and walk; normal manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination; lift and move objects weighing up to 25 pounds; corrected hearing and vision to normal range; and use of standard office equipment, including a PC computer, telephone, copier, printer and scanner.
