Summary

I'm hiring a daycare Assistant for my in-home daycare 10-15 hours a week and to help fill in for vacations and sick time, Monday thru Friday, Must be reliability, productivity, punctuality, dependability, and how well you work with the kids. Must be available to work morning and afternoon shifts. Shifts will range from 4 hours to 8 hours a day depending on the need. Must enjoy working with kids, have patience and understanding for children of all ages. Willing to engage in daily activities and conversation in a positive manner. Must be reliable, self motivated, able to take initiative, and multi task.. No weekends or evenings

Must have experience in a formal childcare setting either an in-home or center. Wages will depend on experience. I am willing to train the right person if you are willing to learn. THIS IS NOT BABYSITTING. We offer a preschool program and a learning environment.

Duties

You will be required to work with kids ages 2 months to 12 years of age. Change diapers, help prepare meals, feed infants and toddlers as needed, document feedings, diaper changes, and naps for infants, provide support during preschool activities, help maintain the cleanliness of the daycare area, provide outside and inside supervision, communicate with parents about their child's day, engage with children during free time, and help provide a safe and positive learning environment.

Requirements

18 years of age
1 year of experience either in an in-home daycare or center
High School Diploma
First Aid/CPR for infants and children completed with in the first 30 days
30 hours of STARS training completed with in the first 6 months
TB test completed prior to start date
DCYF approved Background check completed with in the first 30 days
Reliable transportation, (I'm not near a bus route)
Food Handlers Card with in the first 30 days
****MUST BE FULLY VACCINATED****

Nice To Haves

At least 1 year experience in a Licensed Daycare or center.
