This position is primarily 7:00 am – 3:30 pm but could rotating holidays and weekends.
Additionally, there is a possibility other shifts could be assigned.
The Housekeeper maintains sanitation of the facility for the health, comfort and safety of Residents, staff, and visitors. These services are consistent with the Home's standards and philosophy and follow all regulations, codes, policies, and procedures that govern the facility.
Follow established house procedures, such as routine cleaning scheduled in Resident, staff and non-nursing areas including but not limited to:
Duties include but not limited to: Follow established house procedures, such as routine cleaning scheduled in Resident, staff and non-nursing areas including but not limited to:
- Mopping: Wet and dry mop entire area, moving all obstacles to ensure cleaning complete surface. Utilize janitorial buckets weighing up to 30 pounds.
- Dusting: All horizontal and vertical surfaces from ceiling to floor are dusted and/or polished.
- Vacuuming: Vacuum carpet ensuring all necessary obstacles have been moved to clean complete surface.
- Trash Collections/Disposal: Collect and dispose of trash from containers ranging from 1 gallon to 30 gallons.
- Restrooms: Clean and disinfect all areas in the restrooms including but not limited to sinks, floors, toilets, urinals, mirror, fixtures, and bathtubs.
- Replenish Supplies: Check and replace when depleted and/or according to policy, toilet paper, hand soap, paper toweling, trash bags and all other necessary supplies. Strive for optimal use of supplies, materials, keeping in mind cost and budget limitations.
- Cart set-up: Responsible for maneuvering janitorial carts, weighing up to 100 pounds, throughout facility. Maintains appropriate cleaning supplies on cart. This is a partial description of job duties and responsibilities.
