Position Title: Girl Scout Badge Instructor
Location: Cub Run Rec Center; 4630 Stonecroft Blvd. Chantilly, VA
Hours: Part-time work with a flexible schedule.
Salary: Ranging from $18.02 to $25.64 per hour, depending on experience.

Overview: The Fairfax County Park Authority (FCPA) provides quality facilities and services which offers residents opportunities for recreation to improve their physical and mental well-being, and enhancement of their quality of life.

Cub Run Recreation Center is hiring Girl Scout Badge Instructors for ages 18 months to 12 years. We are looking for dependable, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable individuals with a passion for Girl Scouts. Applicants must have some background, knowledge regarding Girl Scouts and what badges that are offered. The 2 to 3-hour badge work-shops are offered mostly on weekends and school holidays.

Note: This position may not exceed 900 hours per calendar year. Individuals in these positions are not eligible for benefits and are not eligible to earn leave or receive holiday pay.

Necessary Special Requirements:

• All newly hired employees are required to be fully vaccinated as a condition of employment or obtain approval of a medical or religious exemption prior to their start date. Proof of an exemption or vaccination status will be required during the pre-employment onboarding process. New employees who obtain an exemption from the vaccine mandate for medical or religious reasons will still be subject to the weekly testing requirement. Otherwise, vaccinated employees will complete the attestation online in the first day of employment.
• The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background check to the satisfaction of the employer.
