We are seeking to add a full-time Funeral Attendant to our team. Experience in the funeral industry is not required, on the job training will be provided for this dynamic position. The right applicant will possess good communication skills, be comfortable interacting in challenging and sensitive settings, have efficient time management skills and be detail oriented to assist the team as needed.
Primary duties will include:
· Maintaining facilities and vehicle fleet
· Preparing building for services
· Assisting with initial contact with families at the time of their loved ones’ passing
· Facilitating the transfer of individuals into our care
· Assisting with visiting hours, funerals & cemetery events (which may be on weekends or evenings)
· Escorting families & coordinating parking
· Basic Data Entry
· Maintaining a friendly, respectful attitude while offering assistance
This position includes a rotating on-call schedule that requires evenings and weekends. Applicants must, hold a valid driver’s license, live within a 30 minute commute to our location, and be able to lift 100 pounds. This position requires professional dress (business suit & tie), as well as a neat, clean appearance. A yearly clothing allowance is provided.
