Job Summary
The Fuel Supply Specialist works closely with the Sr. Director of Fuel Supply to procure unleaded, diesel and other fuels at the most favorable cost through supply agreements and spot deals. This role is also responsible for maintaining fuel supply agreements and communicating fuel information to Senergy stakeholders.
Duties and Responsibilities
Essential

• Evaluate supplier price changes throughout the day, prepare daily rack sheets for sales team, evaluate loads dispatched and suggest pricing strategies based on supplier pricing to reach daily sales cost pricing to maximize profit.
• Triage, mitigate, and resolve supply interruptions by securing additional supply through day deals and/or in tank transfers with other suppliers.
• Update all systems with the current daily sales cost pricing.
• Update accounting system with any supplier manual pricing and day deals.
• Keep dispatch up to date on preferred suppliers for loading.
• Maintain contract liftings and advise dispatch and sales on progress of these contracts.
• Negotiate day deals with Suppliers when demand out paces contract supplier volumes.
• Maintain allocation systems for different suppliers.
• Reconcile and adjust inventories for for assigned Senergy bulk plant facilities.
• Research and correct any fuel billing discrepancies from suppliers.
• Track and maintain pipeline and/or in tank inventory.
• Nominate each month for pipeline deliveries to Phoenix and Las Vegas.
• Support other departments with fuel supply analysis, bids, market conditions and questions on supply.
• Perform weekend work and on call work to update dispatch on supplier preferences and sales on daily sales cost pricing.
• Represent the company at industry functions and association meetings.

• Occasional work in dusty, wet, dirty environments and exposure to fuel and fuel fumes.

• Able to move about office setting to complete responsibilities.
• Frequent use of phone, computer, and office equipment.

Travel

• Local area occasionally.
• Outside of local area less than 10%

Preferred

• Bachelors degree in an applicable field.
• Sales or operations experience in lubricant and fuel industry.
