Key Human Services has an exciting opportunity for an Education Consultant to work out of our Wethersfield, CT office. This is a hybrid position.
The Education Consultant will serve as a positive role model to train and educate staff to become successful team members who encompass Keystone’s mission, vision, and values. This position is the primary contact for employees regarding education and will coordinate, implement, and document all employee educational programs within their assigned service area.
Additionally, this position serves as a liaison with Department of Developmental Services (DDS) Administration Certification Program for all communication and documentation of employees for Initial Certification and Recertification, processes all employee applications and required documentation as directed by DDS, manages and maintains excel spreadsheet to track employees’ status through the certification and recertification process, consistently communication operations and nursing teams requesting timely DDS required documentation.
- Associate’s degree and three years of related experience in the adult education field OR Bachelor’s degree and two years of related experience in the adult education field OR Master’s degree and one year of related experience in the adult education field
- Internal candidates only may consider: High School Diploma or equivalent and four years of related experience in the adult education field or Associate’s degree (60 credit hours) and two years of related experience in the adult education field
- Possess a broad knowledge of the human services field in areas such as developmental disabilities, licensing regulations, business administration and personnel management
- Ability to communicate both orally and in writing and to be able to read, interpret and apply written information
- Ability to learn and apply intermediate computer skills
- Ability to successfully complete required Medication Administration, First Aid and CPR certifications and other trainings mandated by regulation within specified timeframes
- Valid driver’s license and, depending on work location, may be required to have daily access to privately maintained and insured vehicle
- $21.50 / hour (nonexempt)
