As a Dietary Aide at Madison Health, you will be responsible for all functions of Café service including cash register use, money handling, serving on café line, stocking warehouse, washing dishes. You will also assist in the preparation of tray line for patients and other customers. This position will be scheduled to work 3 shifts per week, 6:30am to 7pm with rotating weekends.

Key job qualities/duties:

  • Assists with patient and café tray line for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Serves meals in a professional, courteous, and efficient manner.
  • Delivers the correct menu to patients in a timely manner. Instructs patients on Room Service System following the customer service standards and assists patients and family members in placing meal orders as needed. Ensures that the food on the patient tray corresponds to the diet order and is listed on the tray ticket. Expedites changes and/or diet substitutes at the patient's request. Delivers completed food trays to the patients in a timely manner.
  • Operates cash register, dish tank and other kitchen equipment safely and effectively.
  • Establishes safe and orderly environment and maintains infection control measures following a clean as you go method. Follows department procedures for sterilizing equipment. Cleans and sanitizes work areas using appropriate cleaning chemicals.

What qualifications are we looking for?

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • ServSafe Certification preferred.
