As a Counterintelligence Desk Officer, supporting the US Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM), you will be trusted to provide analytic support to the protection of critical United States Forces’ personnel, facilities, and information from foreign adversaries, a priority mission of INSCOM. Your analysis will protect technology and information and help resolve vulnerabilities that will increase the survivability of personnel, facilities, and information.

In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Providing advice and assistance to INSCOM staff and other units on the full spectrum of CI investigations, operations, and collection missions.
  • Researching emerging methodologies, tools, tradecraft, and procedures used by Foreign Intelligence Entities (FIE) and Foreign Terrorist Organizations (FTO) against U.S. Army equities and develop information papers for leadership
  • Demonstrating a comprehensive knowledge in all aspects involving sensitive investigations and operations
  • Supporting subordinate unit inspections in appropriate methods to collect, store, and process digital evidence
  • Using oral and written communication skills in order to conduct briefings and discussions with internal and external senior leadership and to author memoranda and finished intelligence products
  • Compiling and disseminating metrics capturing CI activities supporting investigations, collections, and operations.
  • Exercising knowledge of key U.S. Intelligence and Law Enforcement community resources to identify and obtain relevant information and effect any necessary coordination for events of interest.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • Ten (10) years of experience as a Counterintelligence Special Agent
  • Must be a graduate of any of the following Military Department Counterintelligence Certifying Courses:
  • Army – Counterintelligence Special Agent Course (CISAC)
  • Army – 351L Course (or its predecessor)
  • Army – 35E Course (or its predecessor)
  • Air Force –Basic Special Investigators Course (BISC), U.S. Air Force Special Investigations Academy, or predecessor
  • Navy – Special Agent Basic Training Program (SABTB), Naval Criminal Investigative Service Training Academy, or predecessor.
  • A strong understanding of CI Flags and CI Investigations.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred, but not required.
  • Must have an active TS/SCI clearance
