This role is part of Citi Technology Infrastructure (CTI) Risk Management and Governance and is primary focused on Issue Management and Data Quality. The role will include managing, overseeing and challenging new and existing control issues both within and impacting CTI. The role will combine expertise in internal controls, issue management, risk and control and self-assessment processes to ensure the identified control issues and associated remediations across CTI are remediated with the highest levels of discipline and in line with standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Team drives efficiencies in the reporting and tracking of issues (Levels 1- 5 for 1st, 2nd & 3rd Lines of Defense, as well as External issues) and drives compliance to key policies and standards. By providing clear visibility into statuses for all issues globally (On Track, Retarget, Past Due, At Risk), O&T senior leadership and other key stakeholders are well informed and able to make timely decisions regarding the risk environment.

The Control Officer is responsible for liaising with risk and control officers across CTI to provide proactive risk and control monitoring. They will need to establish strong working relationships with risk and control officers in order to be collaborative, effective, and efficient in this role.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Manage processes governing quality assurance across all reports to ensure accuracy and maintain consistency between source data and reporting
• Detail oriented, with proven ability to question and identify opportunities within existing processes and business practices by leveraging previous experiences and knowledge of the business
• Analyze documentation, data and metrics provided via the audit and regulatory data sources to identify risk, performance and quality issues and significant variances and trends. Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports
• Assist and participate on increasing process automation, which will be used to streamline management of audit and regulatory issues impacting CTI
• Project management and governance experience with the proven ability to develop project plans and drive a diverse group of stakeholders to identify and achieve milestones within deadlines
• Superior organizational skills, with proven ability to successfully manage multiple, concurrent priorities
• Individual should be analytical, flexible, team-oriented, have good interpersonal, communication, and follow up skills with strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task
• Ability to create Process Control Manuals, Guides, Quick Cards for process training
• Continue to embrace and influence others of Citi’s Transformation “Citi’s New Way”
• Experience with work-flow systems
• Excellent project management and organizational skills.
• Outstanding relationship building and relationship management skills
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on MS Excel
• Self-motivated and detail oriented
