Job Description


You are a talented Associate Creative Director of Copy who is responsible for leading concept development and the translation and extension of concepts into effective copy for interactive marketing, online campaigns, web and motion-based projects. Under the direction of a Group Creative Lead (GCD), you will work hands-on on several projects at a time and will be involved in all phases of creative development. You will be responsible for planning and executing portions of projects independently or in conjunction with junior creative staff or freelancers. You will be involved in new business projects. You work independently, with limited oversight from your manager.

Strong conceptual and hands on writing skills, with a broad knowledge of interactive/digital experiences including social, web and mobile will set you up for success in this role.

As ACD of copy you will:

  • Be responsible for leading Creative teams in the successful creation and production of copy solutions for one to two assigned accounts
  • Follow creative direction of senior Creative staff and Account staff
  • Plan and direct many aspects of assigned projects, and serves as an integral member of the Creative team
  • Be accountable for managing a team of Creative talent, and leading them in the development of creative work that is consistently sound, of excellent caliber, and acceptable to the client
  • Mentor and lead assigned Creative staff, and be available to critique their work
  • Manage many internal details of assigned projects, working and coordinating with Production and Account staff
  • Lead the effort to translate established creative direction into conceptual ideas
  • Participate as a Creative team member in new-business development efforts
  • Works with appropriate account representative on all projects

Qualifications
  • Exceptional command of language both verbal and written
  • Portfolio must include all digital (social, mobile, web, email) work and campaign work
  • Must be conceptual/an idea person as well as a hands on writer
  • 5+ years' experience
  • Solid knowledge of creative development process
  • Ability to provide guidance to achieve creative direction, give timely and helpful coaching, and produce all work in a timely, cost-effective manner
  • Good presentation skills
  • Good people-management and coaching skills
  • Ability to solve problems using keen instincts and organizational experience
  • Proven mentoring, supervisory, and team-building skills
