Cellar Worker / Brewer

Corning & Company located in Rohnert Park, California, is an award winning distillery that is home to brands such as Sonoma Distilling Company, Pond Fork & Old Quaker to name just a few. We are expanding our team and seek to fill a full time Cellar Worker / Brewer position. Distillery specific training will be provided. Shifts will range from 8 to 10 hours per day; up to 40+ hours per week. Scheduling flexibility is a plus. This is a full time position with benefits following a probationary period. Compensation is based on work experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Cellar Worker / Brewer for Corning & Company is responsible for assisting in all phases of the distilling process (Grain and Material Handling, Mashing, Fermenting, Distilling, CIP/COP, Barreling, Bottling, Packaging and Inventory Management). This individual is a critical team member in the production of our whiskeys and will work closely with the Production Manager/Supervisors to help achieve daily, monthly and yearly production goals. The ideal candidate should have an aptitude to learn, develop, understand, and follow all safety and quality standards and standard operating procedures (SOP’s) of the distillery. This candidate must also be willing to regularly clean and maintain all equipment and facilities, be a team player and be ready to work in a fast paced environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent bending/stooping/kneeling
  • Climbing ladders and stairs
  • Frequent lifting-heavy (50-70 Lbs)
  • Frequent reaching, pulling, pushing
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking

Other Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Must pass background check
  • No present or past problems with drugs or alcohol
  • Forklift experience a plus (training provided)
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends, schedule flexibility

Experience & Education:

  • Minimum 2 years prior experience as a Cellar Worker / Brewer
  • Experience in food or beverage industries, preferred
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Bilingual, verbal and written, (Spanish), is a plus
