General Summary: Under the direction of Airport Operations Supervisor, responsible for daily inspection and compliance of applicable airport rules and regulations. Performs various tasks that are related to the operation of an air carrier and cargo airport.

Responsibilities:

  • Patrols and performs inspections of landside and airside facilities to ensure safety, security and operational efficiency of the Airport and maintain to the highest standards in appearance and cleanliness.
  • Coordinates closely with FAA – ATC via radio regarding snow removal activity, Aircraft diversion events and Airfield emergencies.
  • Maintains and ensures accuracy of information contained in the Multi-user Flight Information Display (MUFID).
  • Monitors and enforces airport rules and regulations including those relating to ground transportation services.
  • Other assigned job duties.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of basic airport management issues in order to assist in the management and operation of a commercial airport.
  • 2 - 4 years of experience in aviation, airport operations (landside, airside, security), airport/airline security, or FBO operations or 1 year of college course work (30 credits) in airport/aviation administration (or equivalent).
  • Completion of an Airport Intern Program is desirable, but not necessary.
  • Internal Candidates Eligibility: An employee must normally have completed at least twelve (12) consecutive months of employment in the current position before being eligible to apply for a new position within the Commission.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Hiring Range: $19.13 - $23.92
