2nd shift Forklift Position Job at IQ Resource Group, Inc.
IQ Resource Group is hiring for a 2nd shift forklift position. This is a temp-to-hire position with great benefits. Hours are 3pm-11pm, M-F with some overtime required. Have questions, please contact us at 920-982-3660.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
· Maintain accurate inventory information.
· Pick and stage for production and assembly accurately. Alert scheduling to part shortages prior to inventory shortage taking place.
· Remove products from production floor and wrap, document, locate and store timely and accurately.
· Scan product into and out of locations accurately at all times.
· Supply material handlers with needed components for press area upon request.
· Work closely with material handlers to ensure the timely delivery of all materials, colorants and/or other required components to all presses.
· Complete pre-shift inspections on equipment as required.
· Complete inventory transactions correctly and according to established procedures.
· Breakdown empty gaylords and place in designated area.
· Collects and removes garbage from production and other necessary areas before end of shift.
· Communicate material related, equipment or other issues to the supervisor and/or maintenance by established process immediately.
· Performs cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy. Report results to inventory control.
· Responsible maintaining a safe and organized area in the warehouse.
· Learns and comprehends processes in all required areas.
· Provides assistance to others; supports and is part of a team environment.
· Recognizes inefficiencies to work to a resolution. Recommends new ideas to improve efficiencies.
· Participates in committees and works on projects.
· Responsible for providing complete and accurate information to the next shift.
- Responsible for maintaining safety including; recognize hazards, human or product, and take required action to eliminate them, know and practice safe lifting, bending and pulling/pushing procedures, know the location of safety data sheets (SDS) and other appropriate safety devices, know the procedures for fire evacuation, severe weather and power failure, use equipment properly and know the safety features, be familiar with the lockout/tagout procedures, and know location / items available of the first aid station.
- Assures a high level of safety for self and co-workers at all times.
- Understands quality policy.
- Flexibility in schedule is needed to meet the needs of the department.
· Additional responsibilities as defined in procedures, work instructions and other areas.
- Other duties as may be necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of this position
