We have openings on the 1st shift for Production Team Lead Operator. Starting wages from $18.50 up to $23.50 per hour. After 40 hours, Overtime, pay rate increases to $27.75 - $35.25 per hour. We are offering $2,000 sign-on bonus with 3 weeks of accrued Paid Time Off (PTO). Earn 1 day PTO from day one.
What You'll Do:
As a Kerry Production Team Lead Operator, you’ll have the opportunity to guide department team members towards achieving the highest level of efficient production runs, identifying existing or future bottlenecks and product loss. Ensures that all lines have a smooth transition to oncoming shift and provide work order request to support other departments. You will take pride seeing a product’s transformation from individual ingredients to finished product by performing the following essentials activities:
· Lead Others: Guide and lead department team members in their daily activities producing products. Enter data into computer and run automated reports and print. Coordinate packaging specs and work orders to determine product to be produced and ensure that all packaging material and labels are correct. Train others in the different areas of responsibility within the production line. They have the ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations & has the ability to recognize issue and escalate to appropriate person.
- Quality: Ensures all HACCP and CQP documentation and checks are performed as prescribed by applicable procedures. Ensures all employees adhere to allergen procedures and policies. Performs and assigns all QC testing required in the department. Communicates to employees the importance of changing outer garments after working with allergens before transferring to other departments.
· Communicate: Update Communication board daily and conduct one on one shift change meetings with incoming lead. Reports production data as specified to Supervisors/Managers. They schedule and monitors lunches and breaks. communicating issues or concerns that cannot be resolved by crew or supervisors Operates production equipment
- Safety: Ensures all safety rules are adhered to; follows safety guidelines and ensures department team members follow safety policies. Performs and assigns general housekeeping and sanitation responsibilities of the line daily according to GMP.
- Other: Ability to operate a handheld scanner to manage manufacturing software to record all manufacturing transactions and maintain inventory accuracy. Duties include Issuing ingredients to Manufacturing order (IP), Reporting production of items (RM), Printing labels, Inventory inquiries, product location transfer and other related activities.
· Performs all other related duties as required.
What You'll Need:
One or more year of recent manufacturing experience within a production environment. We seek operators with previous mixing, extrusion, batching, polishing and finishing experience. We will train if you don’t have all the skills. Use a variety of hand-held tools such as RF scanner, hand trucks and sifting screeners. Demonstrate computers, tablets and its peripheral usage. Ability to lift or move up to 56 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation is required. Good English and Math skills are essential. Ability to read, write and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, procedure manuals, quality documents and other related shipping documents. Must be willing and able to work overtime and occasional Saturdays.
